The book was inspired by the writings of Howard Roark's character in Ayn Rand's 'The Fountainhead'. All inspiration within the book is set in the context of Roark's words. In keeping with the concept of structural simplicity the bindings were hand forged from plumbing ties. Patterning of the acrylic cover was laser cut to illustrate the baseline grid system used to layout the work.
All work within the book is pulled from other artists/designers. A color palette was derived from this work and curated as a personal palette to work from in future work.
Hand bound book created from inspirational images and color palette through concept of architectural verbiage. Binding rings forged from plumbing ties. Laser cut acrylic cover.
